Zachary Clyde Beck
Zachary Clyde Beck, 27, of Clayton, GA passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 as the result of a tragic automobile accident in Banks County.
He was born January 2, 1989 in Stephens County, GA and was the beloved son of Mark Jeffery Beck and Laverne Thompson Beck. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde Rance Beck and Jacqueline Shepherd Beck and his maternal grandparents, Calvin “Coot” Thompson and Eunice Williams Thompson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by James and Virginia Wilburn who were grandparents to him; his fiancée, Alex Herrin of Cornelia, GA; two sisters, Heather Beck Wilson, her husband Grant and their son McCoy of Cornelia, GA, Brianna Beck Mahaffey and her husband Justin of Zebulon, GA. Six aunts, four uncles and lots of cousins also survive.
Zach graduated from West Georgia College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and was employed as a Financial Contractor with Caudel Inspections. He loved sports, fishing hunting and thoroughly enjoyed being around people. He also collected Hess trucks as a hobby, and was a member of Chechero Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Wilson and Rev. Daniel Parker officiating. Burial will follow in McCall Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Zach’s memory to the Bo James Scholarship Fund.
