Wildcats win both Games of Doubleheader

On Friday, the Rabun County High School Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Putnam County for a region doubleheader and won both games.  In the first game, Kasin Old pitched a complete game, striking out seven in the 11-3 victory and hitting a 2 RBI double. At the plate in the first game, the Wildcats were led by Jon Sego, who went 3 for 5 with three singles, two RBIs and one run scored.  Gunner Stockton also contributed a 2 RBI double, Cameron Lovell added two doubles and scored two runs and Sean Thompson scored three runs on two singles and after being hit by a pitch. In the second game, two Freshman; Grayson Carver and Garrett Horton, pitched seven strong innings for the 4-0 win.  Carver went five innings, striking out one and allowing just two hits. Horton pitched two innings in relief, striking out three and not allowing a hit. In game two, the Wildcats were led by Brady Wilson at the plate, who went 3 for 4 with three singles and an RBI. Brody Jarrard also went 2 for 4 with a double and a single, an RBI and a run scored.  The Wildcats host Habersham Central this afternoon, 3/12/19, at 5:55pm in a non-region game.
