Wildcats Fight Hard Get First Loss

Your Rabun County Wildcats took their first loss of the season Friday night at the hands of Jefferson in a battle for the ages. The wildcats fought hard forcing a missed field goal with four seconds left sending the game into overtime where Jefferson’s defense stood strong and snatched the victory from the wildcats 26 to 20. Coach Shaw said after the game…

“Our kids battled down to the last second. We just took the Defending State Champions down to the wire. We got better off of this game. Had some chances, made some mistakes but we learned how to play through adversity tonight which we didn’t do any last year. This football team’s gonna rise up and we’re gonna make a run I can promise you that.”

When asked what he told the players after the game Coach Shaw replied…

“Just told them I was proud of them. We still occur-ed  brotherhood, we still got a lot of football left, we still got a lot of games left in this season. We still got a lot of things left to do for Rabun County Football.”

The Wildcats continue on the road at undefeated Washington Wilkes this Friday.
