Weekend Lane Closures on I-85 NB Ramp to SR 400 NB for Bridge Rehabilitation

Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) will install ramp lane closures on the I-85 northbound ramp to SR 400 northbound in Fulton County this weekend. This work is part of a project to perform bridge preservation activities on six bridge and overpass locations on I-75, I-85, I-675, and SR 400 in Cobb, DeKalb, and Fulton counties.  Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one right lane will be closed on the I-85 northbound exit ramp to SR 400 northbound beginning 11pm on Friday, March 11, until 5am on Monday, March 14.  These closures will help ensure the safety of work crews and drivers as crews perform maintenance and preservation activities to the bridge structure, including co-polymer overlay and joint replacements. This $1.6 million project is scheduled for completion in April 2023.  Message boards will give drivers advance notice of the upcoming closures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
