Vehicle catches on Fire in Dillard

Emergency crews responded to a recent vehicle on fire in Dillard.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 3, a deputy responded to Wayfare Lane in reference to a vehicle fire.  Rabun County Fire Services were on scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.  The vehicle’s owner told the deputy that he was backing out of the driveway when the vehicle died.  He attempted to work on the 1995 Chevrolet truck and it caught on fire.  Then he called 911.  The truck suffered extensive damage from the fire, fortunately, no one was injured.
