Unofficial Results of General Primary Runoff

The results are in for Tuesday’s General Primary Runoff; however, they are still unofficial until they can be certified later this week and one race may be headed to a recount.  In the Republican race for U.S. House of Representatives District 9, Andrew Clyde received 50,059 votes or 56.32% compared to Matt Gurtler garnering 38,832 votes or 43.68%.  In the Dematic race for  U.S. House of Representatives District 9, Devin Pandy got 8,013 votes or 68.46% and Brooke Siskin received 3,691 votes or 31.54%.  So that means that Clyde and Pandy will face each other in November to replace Doug Collins in Congress, who announced he is leaving the seat to run for the U.S. Senate.  In the Republican race for State Senate District 50, Stacy Hall received 12,448 votes or 49.93% and Bo Hatchett took 12,482 votes or 50.07%.  That is a difference of only 34 votes, therefore a recount will likely be ordered.
