Tyson recalls chicken nuggets

If you’re a fan of Tyson’s frozen chicken nuggets that can be readily purchased at any local grocer, you may want to pay attention as the company is recalling them after plastic was found inside.

The recall is for more than 36,000 pounds of nuggets. The U.S. Agriculture Department said the 5-pound bags should be thrown away or returned to avoid any illness that could be brought on from consuming the plastic particles within the nuggets.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-13556” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide and it is extremely likely they have made their way onto local Rabun County grocery store shelves.
