Two Women arrested for Possession of Drugs

On May 13, deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Lava Lane in Tiger for reports of shots fired.  Upon arrival, deputies encountered 30-year-old Jessica Nicole Webb of Buford, Georgia.  A deputy noticed her acting nervous and a bulge in her front pocket.  The deputy asked her to remove it and discovered a small container with pills inside.  Webb was arrested for possession of a schedule III controlled substance.  Another woman, 23-year-old Samantha Rose Burrell of Rabun Gap, drove up in a vehicle and began acting strangely.  K9 Bo alerted deputies to illegal drugs in the car.  A search of the vehicle was conducted and syringe needles, two clear plastic bags of methamphetamine, and a piece of aluminum foil folded up with suspected methamphetamine on it.  Burrell was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.  Both women were transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.
