Two Recent Wrecks in Rabun County
Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked two recent wrecks in the county. On September 1, 2022, at 12:05pm, the driver of a 2008 Toyota Tundra was towing a camper on Black Rock Mountain Parkway near Sunrise Mountain Lane and entered a work zone. As the diver of the Tundra attempted to maneuver around a 2014 Freightliner bucket truck, the camper struck it. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. On September 8, 2022, at 5:19am, the driver of a 2012 Nissan Sentra was driving north on Georgia 15 at Betty’s Creek Road when he fell asleep, ran off the roadway, and struck a Georgia Power pole. The pole broke in half and the Sentra sustained extensive and disabling damage. The driver of the Sentra suffered minor injuries in the single-vehicle collision.
