Two People arrested for DUI

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office made two recent arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) in the county.  The first happened on Jan. 17, at the intersection of Harry Brown Lane and Betty’s Creek Road when a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident.  After failing field sobriety tests, 37-year-old John Edward Bridges of Demorest was arrested for DUI, failure to maintain lane, and driving while license suspended.  He was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the charges.  The second DUI arrest occurred on Jan. 23, on Highway 76 when a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident.  After failing to submit to field sobriety tests, 22-year-old Hannah Annie Digiorgio of Clayton was arrested for DUI, failure to maintain lane, and a seatbelt violation.  She was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the charges.
