Two Motor Vehicle Crashes in Rabun Co. 

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports two recent motor vehicle crashes in the county.  The first occurred at 1:24pm on Dec. 9. A 2010 Mazda was discovered over a bank on Highway 28 by a passerby.  No one was around the vehicle when the deputy arrived on the scene and the driver of the vehicle did not report the crash.  The vehicle was towed from the scene and the deputy placed a hold on it until the driver can be contacted. The second motor vehicle crash happened at 10am on Dec. 10.  The driver of a 2009 Nissan Altima told the deputy that he was run off Germany Mountain Road by another car and overcorrected, which made him run off the roadway. No one was injured in the accident.
