Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Two are arrested on drug charges after allegedly leaving a bag with needles and pills inside of a local business.

According to reports on file with the Clayton Police Department, management at the McDonalds in Clayton found the bag and called the Clayton Police Department and, when officers arrived, the vehicle driven by the two who brought the bag into McDonalds, according to management, was sitting in the old Bi-Lo parking lot.

The report states that officers spoke with the driver, 28 year old Victoria Lee Justus of Clayton and the passenger, 29 year old Robert Bentley Hooper of Clayton. Both agreed to field sobriety tests, and the driver granted officers permission to search the vehicle, where a pill was found, based on information found in the report.

Both were arrested on the charges of illegal possession of a controlled substance, possession and use of drug related objects, and prescription drugs must be in their original containers.
