Towns County Man Arrested on Possession Charges

In a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, the Towns County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, executed a search warrant at the residence of Rebecca Diane Davis in Young Harris on Thursday.

Towns County authorities located approximately 7 grams of methamphetamine, 1 ounce of marijuana and a stolen Ruger .357 revolver.  After the findings were discovered, Nathan Christopher Rose, age 39, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Rose was transported to the Towns County Detention Center.  Rebecca Davis has yet to be apprehended but is wanted for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of stolen property.

The street value of the illegal narcotics was $800.  The handgun was stolen from Clay County, North Carolina.
