Tiger Man arrested for DUI

A Tiger man faces driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane charges after an incident on Old 441 at Syrup City Road in Tiger.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Oct. 17, 2019, at 8:47pm a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash and found a Ford F150 over an embankment with the driver still inside.  The deputy observed the driver, 74-year-old Charles Wayne Roberson of Tiger, having trouble balancing as he walked away from the vehicle and smelled alcohol on his breath. Roberson failed the field sobriety tests administered by the deputy and was arrested.
