Tiger Man arrested for DUI

A Tiger man stands charged with multiple offenses, including driving under the influence (DUI), after a recent traffic stop on Old 441 South.  The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on May 21, 2020, a deputy observed a 2017 Honda scooter with the driver not wearing eye protection and the passenger not wearing a helmet.  A traffic stop was initiated on Carlton English Road.  The deputy ran their information through dispatch and learned that both the driver and passenger had suspended licenses.  The deputy also smelled alcohol on the driver and conducted sobriety tests.  After failing those, 30-year-old Jesse Cole Dodgins was arrested for DUI, driving while license suspended, and failure to maintain insurance.
