Three Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office responded to three recent wrecks in the county.  The first happened at 1:42am on Dec. 19. The driver of a 2019 KIA Stinger said she was traveling south on Georgia 15 in the area of Grasshopper Lane when a deer ran out in front of her car causing her to strike the deer.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle accident. The second wreck occurred at 6:09pm on Dec. 20. The driver of a 2000 Toyota Tacoma told the deputy that the tie rod end broke on his vehicle and he was unable to stop causing him to crash on Charlie Mountain Road.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle accident. The third wreck happened at 10:40pm on Dec. 20. The driver of a 2017 Jeep Cherokee said she was traveling north on Georgia 15 and struck a deer that entered the roadway, causing damage to the far front right of her vehicle.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle accident.
