Three Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Three recent wrecks in Rabun County required the assistance of deputies from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.  The first took place at 10:45pm on July 15, on Black Rock Parkway when a 2016 Toyota Tacoma was turning left and the motorcycle strapped down in the back shifted causing the driver to turn around to look and then strike the Georgia Governor Herman Talmadge memorial monument on the right-hand side of the roadway.  The second wreck happened at 1:04am on July 16, on Hope Drive when the driver of a 2015 Dodge Charger failed to put the vehicle in park and it rolled into a flower bed.  The third wreck occurred at 12:30pm on July 16, on Persimmon Creek Road when a 2019 Chevrolet Express swerved to miss a deer in the roadway and went over the embankment on the left side of the road.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the three motor-vehicle collisions.
