Three Recent Traffic Crashes in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to three traffic crashes in the county.  The first occurred at 12:41pm on Dec. 23. The driver of a 2012 Ford Focus stated that her vehicle had been hit and the other vehicle left without reporting the incident in the Walmart parking lot; however, the deputy reviewed the video and no one was seen crashing into the vehicle, so, it is believed that the crash happened somewhere else.  No one was injured in the incident. The second crash happened at 8:33pm on Dec. 23. The driver of a 2002 Chevy Silverado said that while backing out of her parking spot in the Walmart parking lot, she did not see a 2006 Pontiac Solstice and when she turned the wheel, she struck it. No one was injured in the incident. The third wreck occurred at 7:30am on Dec. 24.  The driver of a 2011 Chevy Silverado told the deputy that a deer ran out in front of him and he did not have time to stop. No one was injured in the incident.
