Three Felony Thefts under Investigation in Rabun County

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three felony thefts in the county.  On August 29, a deputy spoke to a woman, who stated that her wallet was taken out of her car.  The wallet contained her driver’s license, insurance card, prescription card, and debit card.  She said that her debit card was used at Wendy’s in Clayton.  The deputy told her to contact her bank and have them cancel her card.  She would also need to report the fraud to the Clayton Police Department because the card was used at Wendy’s in Clayton.  On September 5, a deputy responded to an address on Walking Stick Road in Clayton in reference to a theft.  The deputy spoke with a man, who stated that his utility trailer was stolen from his property.  The trailer is valued at $1,500.  On September 9, a deputy spoke with a woman about the theft of trees from her home on White Poplar Lane in Tiger.  She said that someone stole 65-110 Wonderful Pomegranate brand trees she had been growing for over a year.  The trees are valued at $1,645.
