Thanksgiving Turkey Trot Benefits Food Distribution

This year’s Turkey Trot took place Thursday.

The Turkey Trot is a 5K fun run that begins and ends in front of Fromage in Clayton.

Jenny Wilson, the owner of Fromage, said that 113 people of all ages participated in this years event, up from 87 last year.

Wilson said that each participant was required to make a donation in addition to the entry fee.

“They donated canned goods and then there was a $20 entry fee for adults and less for younger people, and it all goes to the food distribution at the Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church.”

Wilson says that there were many great costumes worn by many participants yesterday, and they had a hard time picking the winner for best costume.
