TFS Tennis grabs Shutout Wins over Commerce

The Tallulah Falls School (TFS) tennis teams put on a clinic Tuesday evening at home against Commerce, with both the girls and boys posting 5-0 shutout wins, reports TFS Athletics.  In total, the teams combined to win 20 of 21 sets.  The Lady Indians got perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins at 1- and 2-singles, with Ariel Kelsick and Jaeda-Lee Daniel-Joseph remaining unbeaten on the season. Tanner Davis and TJ Cox also have walked off the court as winners each match this season, and won with relative ease.  “I am really proud of the effort today in very cold and windy conditions,” says coach Anthony Cox. “William [Xu] battled back after starting slow in the first set to win a marathon three-set match in his first-ever opportunity at singles. Our number one and two singles for both boys and girls have been solid and reliable all season long, and today was no different. It was also really nice to see all our JV players get a chance to play, and they performed well.”  Both the Lady Indians and Indians are now 7-0 on the season, and move to 3-0 in region play.
