TFS Students named Semi-finalists for Georgia Governor’s Honors Program

Tallulah Falls School (TFS) is proud to announce that two of its students have been named semi-finalists for the prestigious Georgia Governor’s Honors Program, reports Sonya M. Smith, Executive Director for Advancement at TFS.  Junior Annabelle Jackson of Alto has been selected in the Visual Arts category, and sophomore T.J. Cox of Cornelia has been recognized in the Social Studies category.  Upper School counselor Michelle Barron expressed her excitement and said, “We are honored to recognize these talented and high-achieving students. The Governor’s Honors Program provides an exceptional opportunity for them to enhance their skills, challenge themselves academically, and make meaningful connections with like-minded individuals from across the state.”  The state-level semi-finalist interviews will take place on March 11 at Georgia Southern University, with the finalist names to be announced on April 7. The Governor’s Honors Program is a residential summer program designed for gifted and talented high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year during the program. The curriculum of this program offers a unique and enriching experience, providing students with opportunities for academic, cultural, and social growth, helping them develop into critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders of the future.
