TFS set for Athletic Legends and Alumni Weekend

Tallulah Falls School, in coordinated efforts with Alumni Weekend on January 13-14, will be holding special events on both Friday and Saturday, as the TFS basketball teams take on Commerce (Friday) and Prince Avenue Christian (Saturday) in back-to-back home games, reports TFS Athletics.  The special ceremonies are part of Athletic Legends Weekend, which features a recognition night in honor of the State Champion Lady Indians volleyball team and the induction of new members into the Athletic Legends Hall of Honor.  The Lady Indians’ historic 2022 season will live on forever. Tallulah Falls will be celebrating the team on Friday throughout the boys and girls basketball games against Commerce. Between the girls and boys varsity basketball games, the team will be recognized, and a brand new banner for the 2022 State Championship (and a banner celebrating the Area Championship) will be unveiled in the gym. There will be a silent auction on some state championship memorabilia in the Middle School Student Activity Center lobby. The following items will be auctioned off: two official team-used volleyballs autographed by every member of the team; two 8×10 team championship photos autographed by every member of the team; one size Large State Championship T-shirt; and one large Canvas Print (24×36) of State Championship volleyball team.  Everyone in attendance can also pick up a 4×6 photo of the championship team as a keepsake, and players will be in the lobby prior to their on-court recognition to sign any items anyone would like to have autographed. Players will also be available for meet and greet and photo opportunities. The GHSA State Championship trophy is on display in the lobby’s trophy case, and will be brought out for the recognition of the team on court.

The 2022 Hall of Honor inductees include Tim Crenshaw ‘71, Chuck Nunn ’78, and the 1968 Football Team.  Fliers are available for those in attendance as they enter the Middle School Student Activity Center with information on each inductee, and the Interactive Showcase located in the lobby has more details on the 2022 inductees, as well as prior inductees.
