TFS Golf Teams qualify for State

Both the Tallulah Falls School (TFS) Lady Indians and Indians qualified for the state tournament with Area Runner-Up finishes on Monday afternoon at Double Oaks in Commerce, reports TFS Athletics. Mallory Higgins and Canon Brooks were the team low medalists.  The Lady Indians finished second as Higgins was the individual Runner-Up after carding a personal-best 86 across 18 holes. She rebounded from a rough start.  Hannah Lundy was third in the area with an 87, also a personal-best score.  The boys were guided by Brooks, who fired an 81, a personal-best score for him in an 18-hole event. Henry Bowman followed with a 91, Tate Turping had a personal-best 93, and Will Greene posted a 94. Jedd Thomas (100) and Hunter Bell (101) also had personal bests in the tournament.  The teams both qualified for the State Championship tournament to be held in Elbert County on May 22-23. The team qualification is a first for the boys, though an individual has qualified previously. The girls are back in the state tournament after missing out narrowly last season.
