TFS blanks Rabun Co. as Indians celebrate Region Title

The top-ranked Tallulah Falls School (TFS) Indians varsity boys’ soccer team secured a 4-0 clean sheet win over Rabun County on Tuesday evening on a night where the team celebrated its recent clinch of a region title, reports TFS Athletics. The trophy was presented to TFS following the win over the Wildcats.  Four separate players chipped in with scoring, and Kelton Reynolds notched 8 saves. Landon Hall, Jake Hall, Austin Ball, and Reynolds scored goals. Clay Kafsky and Austin Ball had assists.  “Guys played well and enjoyed the celebratory night for a historic first region title win,” says coach Jeremy Stille. “Great crowd and environment to support and push the team.”  TFS started slow, but held a comfortable 2-0 lead at the half on goals from the Hall brothers.  “The second half was sloppy, but expected because we are short several players with injuries,” adds Stille.  Ball scored on a solo goal in the second and Reynolds added one from the PK spot on a foul earned by Landon Hall.  “It was a great night but we have to focus now on our next opponent on Thursday,” states Stille. “A big non-region contest against Region 6A DI’s Mt. Vernon.”  The Indians are now 13-0 overall and 9-0 in region play. The 11th win ties the program single-season record, and Reynolds’ 8 saves gives him a new single-season record of 68. Ball’s 14th assist ties the single-season record.
