Tamassee Man arrested for Fleeing

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Tamassee, South Carolina man stands charged with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement.  On Feb. 11, a deputy was told via radio by Rabun County Dispatch of a chase coming through Dillard.  The deputy then observed a 2005 Ford Expedition followed by two Macon County Sheriff’s Office deputies heading south on Georgia 15.  Officers with the Mountain City Police Department deployed spike strips in the southbound lane across from Playhouse Drive.  The driver, later identified as 23-year-old Joshua James Emanuel Martin then stopped in the middle of Georgia 15.  Martin was arrested and the vehicle was impounded.
