Tallulah Falls gives Notice regarding Application to Rezone Property

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 36-66-4 and Section 1909 of the zoning ordinance of the Town of Tallulah Falls, the Town hereby provides notice that it has received an application from J & D Irvin Holdings, Llc., to rezone properties located on River Street and Hickory Nut Mountain Road in the Town of Tallulah Falls, more particularly identified as parcel numbers 101b 064 and 101b001b, according to the records of the Rabun County Tax Assessor.  The properties sought to be rezoned are presently assigned the zoning classification R-1, single-family residential under article vii to appendix a (zoning) of the zoning ordinance of the Town of Tallulah Falls, Georgia.  The applicant has proposed that the properties sought to be rezoned should be assigned the zoning classification bd, business district under Article X to Appendix A (zoning) of the zoning ordinance of the Town of Tallulah Falls, Georgia.  The application to rezone properties and supporting documentation is on file with the town clerk for the purpose of examination and inspection by the public.  A public hearing before the Town of Tallulah Falls Planning Commission will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 6pm at the Town Hall, 255 Main Street, for the purpose of considering the application and making a recommendation to the Town Council regarding proposed action to be taken on it.  The Town Council will then hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 6pm at the Town Hall, 255 Main Street, for the purpose of considering the application and making a decision regarding the action to be taken on it.
