Taco night takes a twist, 1 charged with battery

Earlier in the week what originally was thought to be taco night at a local residence turned into one getting arrested on battery charges.

On Monday, an altercation involving a live-in girlfriend and her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend broke out at a residence in Dillard.

According to a report from the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, the ex-girlfriend was still living with her previous boyfriend when his new girlfriend moved in.

On Monday, the ex-girlfriend was making tacos for everyone when she realized she had no cheese and proceeded to ask the new girlfriend if she could borrow some, to which she replied yes.

The report continues to state that the new girlfriend became irate and began hitting the door and then punched the ex in the forehead – all over the cheese.

Law enforcement arrived on the scene and suggested the ex pursue resources within local non-profit FAITH since she had nowhere else to live.
