Social Distancing working at Mountain View Health and Rehab

Social distancing seems to be working at Mountain View Health and Rehab in Clayton.  Over the last month, the medium-sized nursing home facility serving 93 residents has instituted Coronavirus guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to protect residents and staff.  So far, those guidelines are working, says Ross McIntire with Mountain View Health and Rehab.  “We are still adhering to no visitation at this time.  We’re still isolating residents as they come back from the hospital, dialysis, or clinic within an isolated section of our home just to make sure that we reduce the spread or possibility of spread of anything COVID-19 related.  We are still at this time COVID-19 free and we hope to stay that way.  We would really like to keep families involved in the lives of their loved ones, so please call, write, or anything you can do to help them feel connected to the outside world is welcome.  We are doing some Zoom calls with families of residents just to let them see the faces of the people that normally would come to visit them and we just appreciate everything that they do.”  The facility on Warwoman Road hopes to allow visitors soon once the global health pandemic subsides and the CDC lifts the guideline restrictions that are currently in place.
