Six Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked six recent wrecks in the county.  The first crash happened on October 12, at 6:30pm when a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 hit a 2007 Ford Mustang from behind on Georgia 15 at its intersection with Tiger Connector.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The second wreck occurred on October 12, at 6:40pm when a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier struck a 2008 Ford F-150 that was making a wide turn into a driveway on Bridge Creek Road.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The third crash took place on October 12, at 8:10pm when a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado hit a bear on Georgia 15 near Kelly’s Creek Road.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The fourth wreck happened on October 12, at 8:10pm when a 2008 Chevrolet Impala struck a bear on Georgia 15 near Kelly’s Creek Road.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The fifth crash occurred on October 13, at 1am when a 2020 Nissan Altima ran off Georgia 15 into a ditch.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.  The sixth wreck took place on October 13, at 3:40am when the driver of a 2011 Ford Fusion was driving down Jordan Heights Lane and the brakes did not engage.  The driver engaged the emergency brake and the vehicle stopped but flames came out from the front passenger side.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision.
