Six Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked six recent wrecks in the county.  On August 12, at 9:21am, the driver of a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle drove over the grass in the roadway on Warwoman Road causing the front tire to lose transaction and overturned on the shoulder of the roadway.  No one was injured.  On August 12, at 1:15pm, a 2007 Dodge 2500 was hauling a boat through the curve on Lake Rabun Road when the boat struck a 2013 Lexus GX.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  On August 12, at 10:40pm, the driver of a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer missed a turn on Georgia 15 and made a left turn but failed to yield to a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt causing a collision.  No one was injured.  On August 13, at 1:10pm, the driver of a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle exited a curve on Warwoman Road and lost control, overturning with the motorcycle coming to rest on top of the driver.  The driver required an airlift to the hospital.  On August 13, at 2:35pm, a 2012 Jeep Liberty struck a 2007 Saturn Aura on Old Chechero Road.  No one was injured.  On August 14, at 6:27pm, the driver of a 2011 Ford LGT lost control, entered the sidewalk, and struck the retaining wall on the Tiger Connector at its intersection with Jones Street.  No one was injured.
