Six Recent Wrecks in Rabun County
Deputies of the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office worked six recent wrecks in the county. On May 17, the driver of a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander failed to yield while entering Bridge Creek Road and struck a 2021 Chevrolet Canyon. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. On May 19, a 2022 International tractor-trailer slid down an embankment on John English Road. No one was injured in the single-vehicle collision. On May 20, a 2020 Jeep Cherokee hit a 2019 Chevrolet Spark from behind at a stop sign on Wildcat Hill Drive. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. On May 21, a 2001 Dodge Ram struck a 2016 GMC Acadia in the rear at a stop sign on East Boggs Mountain Road. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. On May 22, the driver of a 2021 Toyota Highlander crossed the center line and struck a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision. On May 23, the front tire of a 2013 Ford F150 went into a washed-out portion of Sandy Fork Road causing it to come to a sudden halt and disabling damage. One person was taken to Mountain Lakes Medical Center for injuries sustained in the single-vehicle collision.
