Six Indicted in Ashley Hamilton Case

Six are indicted in connection to the abuse of a disabled adult earlier this year.

On July 10th, Jesse Terrell Shedd was indicted by a Grand Jury on the charges of Aggravated Assault, Battery, and Abuse of a Disable Person, following an April 2nd incident described by investigator Gerald Johnson with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.

“The facts and circumstances led us to believe that he did inflict substantial visible bodily injury on Ashley Hamilton.”

Also indicted on the charge of Abuse of a Disabled Adult were Kelly Sue Hamilton and Tabitha Chartrand.

Richard Joseph Foss, Peggy Sue Wall, and Julie Ann Stevenson were all indicted on the charge of reckless conduct in connection to the incident.

Plea and arraignment will be held in August.

The Grand Jury will meet again in September.
