Six Arrested in Hotel Drug Operations

Six face drug charges after investigations at two local hotels.

On Monday and Tuesday, the Mountain Judicial Circuit NCIS team and the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the local police departments, investigated two incidents, one at the Mountain Valley Inn on Highway 441 North, and the second at the Days Inn on Highway 441.

In the first incident on Monday, forty nine year old Daniel Furman Gibson of Dillard was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, thirty eight year old Angela Moore Wheeler Johnson of Hogansville, Georgia, was charged with one count of possession of marijuana, and eighteen year old Kaylea Cannon of Clayton was also charged with one count of possession of marijuana.

In the second incident, twenty eight year old Javier Treja of Rabun County, thirty one year old Ryan Bedini of Rabun County, and forty eight year old Donald Harmon Justus of Clayton were all charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine.

All six were transported to the Rabun County Detention Center.
