Shirley sets TFS School Record

The Tallulah Falls School (TFS) track and field teams traveled to Commerce for a meet against the host school, Madison County, and BASA on Wednesday evening, reports TFS Athletics. The Lady Indians came away with a 1st-place finish as Julianne Shirley put on a stellar performance that included a school record. The Indians finished second overall.  Highlighting the success of the meet were Shirley’s three 1st-place finishes and one 2nd-place finish. She set the school record with a 5-1 high jump to win that event. Jace Ibemere won in Triple Jump with a PR. Nana Amankwah also set a PR while winning the boys’ Triple Jump. Sofia Rueda had multiple PRs, and Blair Moore had two PRs along with Molly Mitchell. Walker Bailey won two distance events as well.
