Sentencing Pushed Back for Toccoa Man

A sentencing hearing for a Toccoa man convicted of felony murder last week is on hold.

Officials say that sentencing for Steve A. Sims, Jr. of Toccoa has been pushed back from this morning until October 15.

Sims, Jr. was convicted of felony murder, voluntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony Friday afternoon following a week-long trial in Mountain Judicial Circuit Superior Court in Toccoa.
