The Masters

Adam Scott rolled in a 12-foot birdie putt on Sunday to win the 77th Masters. Angel Cabrera’s 18-foot birdie effort on No. 10, the second playoff hole, curled around the hole before Scott poured in his birdie try for the win. Scott became the first Australian to win the Masters. The duo both got up and down for par on the first playoff hole, No. 18. This was the second straight year the Masters went to a second playoff hole.

Braves Pitcher Paul Maholm (3-0) issued just one walk in his third straight stellar outing, as the crafty left-hander has yet to allow a run over 20 1/3 innings this season. On the offensive side, Andrelton Simmons stroked a three-run homer, Justin Upton added a solo shot and two runs scored, and Chris Johnson collected four hits and two RBI for the Braves. The Braves are now 11-1 for the 2013 campaign, and have already collected a four game lead in the National League East.
