Road Work This Week
The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced roadwork in Northeast Georgia next week.
In Rabun County, crews are scheduled to mow State Route 2.
In Habersham County, crews will continue adding rubberized asphalt to Highway 441, which will require a lane closure in the work zone.
The work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm as weather permits.
The Georgia Department of Transportation urges motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones, as fifty seven Georgia DOT personnel plus many other motorists, passengers, and contractor’s workers have been killed since 1973.
