Road Closure on Sosbee Road

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close a portion of Sosbee Road for continued work on the widening and reconstruction project on US 129/State Route 11 in Hall and Jackson counties. The overall project is expected to be complete by August 2021.  The closure on Sosbee Road began on May 18, and will be in place for approximately 30 days.  The north end of Sosbee Road will be closed at US 129/State Route 11. Motorists will be detoured along US 129/State Route 11 to Pond Fork Church Road, which will bring motorists back to Sosbee Road from the south end. Motorists will experience delays traveling through the project.  Exact dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers.
