Resident tests Positive for COVID-19 at Mountain View Health and Rehab

A resident of Mountain View Health and Rehab in Clayton has tested positive for COVID-19.  Mountain View Health and Rehab Director of Marketing and Community Relations Ross McIntire says the center is doing everything it can to prevent the spread of the respiratory virus.  “We do have confirmation that an individual here at Mountain View has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  Resident safety is our top priority so we are doing everything we can to ensure that we stop the spread of COVID-19 within our facility that includes staying in close contact with the Department of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and local and state health officials.  We’re also making sure we stay on top of our guidelines that prevent the spread to other residents.”  The resident that tested positive is being isolated from the other residents in a wing of the center.  There is still no visitation at Mountain View Health and Rehab, adds McIntire.  “We’re still not allowing visitors right now.  We’re not sure when that will end.  We’re still trying to do one-on-one activities.  We’re offering Zoom calls to residents with their families so that they can kind of feel as connected as they possibly can.”  Mountain View Health and Rehab on Warwoman Road is a medium-sized nursing home facility serving 93 residents.
