Rental Assistance Program for Those whose Finances have been negatively impacted by COVID-19

The State of Georgia Rental Assistance Program provides relief to individuals, families, and landlords whose finances have been negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds are available to bring past-due rent and utility payments current. The money is distributed directly to landlords, and eligible applicants will receive up to 12 months of payment relief. Individuals must qualify for unemployment or experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19 and have household income at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). Here’s the website for additional information and to apply Georgia Rental Assistance (ga.gov).  You can also email [email protected] or call 833-827-7368 for any questions.  In the next few weeks, DCA will be rolling out a Mortgage Assistance Program.  Below is the link to the DCA website for anyone interested in the mortgage assistance program to be added to a notification list. https://www.dca.ga.gov/safe-affordable-housing/homeownership/georgia-mortgage-assistance-program.
