RCWSA working on Water Tank Project

A new water tank project is in the works for the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA).  At their recent meeting, General Manager Brendan Thompson updated the Authority on the project to construct a 750,000-gallon tank right off Yorkhouse Road.  “That’s our project here in the north.  We’re looking at constructing a 750,000-gallon tank right off Yorkhouse Road, which will be a water supply to the City of Clayton.  That is in the works right now, we are doing design work.  Hopefully, look to have that one bid out probably by about the January or February of 2023 time frame with a construction period of probably about 4-6-months.  So, that will be a really big boost to us and the community to have a large tank like that to supply water and be a backup and redundancy for the entire community.”  The RCWSA strives to improve the quality of life for the community and environment through the proper management of water resources.
