RCWSA unveils New Office and Shop Building

The Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) recently unveiled its new office and shop building to board members.  The new building will serve as a shop and office complex where customers can come in and pay their bills in person if they want to. There is also a 3,000 square foot area for shop work to repair motors and equipment.  RCWSA General Manager Brendan Thompson gives details. “They were able to walk around and take a look and see the new building. I let them know that we had basically built that building without borrowing any money. It was all money that we had saved over the last five years as well as some SPLOST dollars that the County Commissioners, basically $110,000 from SPLOST water and sewer to help us get over the hump and get that building built again with no debt service.”  The new building, at 1650 Yorkhouse Road, sits on the same property as the Wastewater Plant.
