RCWSA General Manager gives Monthly Reports for December 2020

On Tuesday, Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) General Manager Brendan Thompson gave his monthly report for December 2020 to the Authority.  The ending balance on RCWSA’s Operating Bank Account was $93,780.16.  The status of the South Water System was the December 2020 water bill was delivered to the City of Clayton in the amount of $102,742.22.  The Lake Rabun pumped to distribution system volume for November 2020 was 38,782,000 gallons and the volume for December 2020 was 39,284,000 gallons, which is an increase of 502,000 gallons or 1.3% from November 2020 to December 2020.  The City of Clayton’s December 2019 volume was 31,427,000 gallons and the December 2020 volume was 32,207,593 gallons, which is a difference of 780,593 gallons or 2.5% increase.  Customers’ December 2020 meter readings were done on December 28, and bills were sent out on December 30.  Unaccounted for water volume for the month of December 2020 was 5.47%.  The status of the North Water System was Little Tennessee pumped to distribution system volume for November 2020 was 14,004,000 gallons and the volume for December 2020 was 12,741,000 gallons, which is a decrease of 1,263,000 gallons or -9.0%.  Customers’ December 2020 meter readings were done on December 28, and bills were sent out on December 30.  Unaccounted for water volume for the month of December 2020 was 4.40%.  In addition, fire hydrant maintenance and valve exercising is ongoing.
