RCWSA almost finished with Control Valve Project

The installation of a control valve to interconnect the Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority’s (RCWSA) North Water System with the City of Clayton is almost finished, says RCWSA General Manager Brendan Thompson.  “This is a control value project where we will be able to bring water from our northern plant down to the City of Clayton.  We’ve got the vault and the valve in.  We’ve got to do start-up for that next week and do general clean up next week once the rain kind of lets up and lets us get it all dressed up and ready to go.  We’re excited about that and getting that started up next week.”  The control value is located at the Flea Market, just north of Clayton.  The project will bring water from the North System to augment the water supply from the Lake Rabun Water Treatment Plant while filters are replaced.  Once the filters are replaced, water will continue to be brought to Clayton from both the Lake Rabun Water Treatment Plant and the Little Tennessee Water Treatment Plant.
