RCS announces partnership with ‘Purposity’

Rabun County Schools announced recently their intentions of incorporating Puposity into the school system and community.

Purposity is a tool users in the community and parents of students can use to help find out ways to aid those in need. The Purposity platform utilizes Amazon for posting needs so helping with a power bill can’t be done through the Purposity platform.  The “needs” that will be posted are individual physical items rather than a utility bill, rent, or similar.

Purposity, in turn, alerts others in the community of the requested need for assistance and spreads the word to individuals near them who are willing to help.

Purposity comes from the core belief that humanity finds purpose through generosity.

To incorporate it into our community, the Rabun County School Board announced there must be 500 users to launch Purposity.

As of last Wednesday, Nov. 7, 300 Rabunites already signed up to join the initiative. Now, only 200 more users are needed to help make Rabun County a better place.
