The First ever Rabun County soap box derby was held this weekend as part of the Foxfire Mountaineer Festival. Six cars took to the track piloted by drives from ages 8 to 12 to compete for the Trophy and bragging rights among their peers. A line of spectators down Hiawassi St watched as several heats were held to determine the final match up for the championship. After several close heats and a couple wrecks it was Emma Duqeutte taking the final checkered flag.
