Rabun GOP to host Speakers on National Defense and Foreign Policy

The Rabun Republicans will have two outstanding speakers when they next gather for their April meeting at the Dillard House Conference Center on Saturday, April 9, at 9am. Both speakers have served in Afghanistan and Iraq and reached the top levels of our nation’s foreign policy, national security and intelligence, and defense. Now they are both seeking statewide office in Georgia for the May 24th Republican Primary. John King was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to become Georgia’s Insurance Commissioner on July 1, 2019. King also became Georgia’s first statewide Hispanic official. Most recently he was the Police Chief in Doraville, Georgia. Aside from speaking about his experiences in the military he will also discuss his work and goals as Georgia’s Insurance Commissioner. The Rabun GOP is extending an invitation to all of the local insurance agents in Rabun County to come to this event. Latham Sadler is seeking the Republican nomination for the United States Senate to challenge Raphael Warnock for a full six-year term. He served as a Navy SEAL for 8 years in Afghanistan and Iraq and joined the National Security Council as the White House Director of Intelligence Programs in the Trump Administration. The Rabun County Republican Party is about to open a new headquarters in downtown Clayton at 41 East Savannah Street with many events planned in the coming weeks to help inform the public about all of the Republicans seeking office for the Republican Primary on May 24th.
