Rabun Gap visits Charlotte Latin Tonight

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School Eagles varsity football team travels to Charlotte, North Carolina to play the Charlotte Latin Hawks tonight, October 14, 2022.  The Eagles are 5-2 on the season and the Hawks are 4-2.  Rabun Gap Director of Sports Information and Assistant to the Athletic Director, Coach Connor Cohea says after a bye week the Eagles are rested and ready to play.  “We’ve got Charlotte Latin this week.  A very good opponent that we know very well.  We haven’t been there in a long time, so it will be new territory for our guys.  One thing that I can say about Charlotte Latin from playing them in the past, they are probably the most well-coached team that we will face.  They have really good players that are smart.  They play very hard.  They are not afraid of anything.  On offense, they have a very good concept of what they do and they do a lot of different things.  They put their receivers in really good positions with different route concepts.  They have a really good running back, a very strong, physical kid that is not afraid to run through anybody.  They have a really good quarterback, who has a really good arm and does a good job of getting the playmakers the ball.  I cannot give enough credit to their coaching staff, they have their guys ready to play.  They definitely make it hard to prepare for them, so, it has been a perfect time to have the bye week.  Defensively, same deal for them.  They do a lot of different things, blitzing with a bunch of different coverages.  So, it has been a work-in-progress game planning for them but we are feeling great going into it.”  The Rabun Gap versus Charlotte Latin game kicks off at 7pm.  The Eagles’ next game on Real Country 100.3 is Friday, Oct. 21, at 7pm as the Eagles host the Providence Day Chargers at Zavala Family Stadium.
