Rabun Gap travels to High Point to play Cougars

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School Eagles varsity football team travels to High Point, North Carolina, tonight, October 28, 2022, to play the High Point Christian Academy Cougars.  The Eagles are 6-3 on the season and the Cougars are 4-5.  Rabun Gap Director of Sports Information and Assistant to the Athletic Director, Coach Connor Cohea breaks down the game.  “We’re back on the road driving four hours to go play High Point.  Last time we went up there they jumped on us quickly 14-0 and it was a battle for our guys and we came back to win.  They are a good team.  They play hard.  They are mainly a running team on offense.  They have a quarterback, who is basically like a running back.  He’s very quick and fast.  They have some good running backs to compliment him.  They do a lot of counter stuff and a lot of different things.  So, I think this is a good test for us before we get into the playoffs.  Defensively, they run a four-man front.  They play hard and they are very scrappy.  They are very well-coached and they do a lot of good things.  So, we’ve got to end the regular season on the right note before the playoffs.”  The Rabun Gap Eagles versus High Point Christian Academy Cougars game kicks off at 6pm.
